“With more than 350 million users, OPPO is one of Google's main global partners who interacts with a variety of users around the world. In collaboration with the Android team, ColorOS will accommodate a variety of responses and input regarding Android 11 beta.

“This is to identify, improve and enhance its features for Android developers and users,” explained Aryo Meidianto, OPPO Indonesia's PR Manager, ColorOS.

The following are offered in this version:

ColorOS makes the interface look more people-centric and expressive, where users can chat in the notification column directly and open it in bubble form. Chat Bubble can make it easier for users to view and access chat while using other applications simultaneously.

To maintain privacy and increase device security from a variety of sensitive permissions, the updates provide several types of permission settings in running applications and system functions, namely: One-time permission; Auto-reset Permissions; and Background location.

In the near future, other default stock features of Android 11 will also be available in the next ColorOS beta, such as the Device Control system that provides access and control of various smart devices in one container.

These updates enrich the customization of various ColorOS features that previously existed, including Dark Mode and the Built-in Screen Recorder.

Other customizations to the default features of the OPPO Find X2 series will also be available, such as visual enhancements with HDR Video Enhancement, MEMC (Motion Estimation and Motion Compensation), and AI Nature Tone Display.

Photography capabilities will also be optimized through the OPPO All Pixel Omni-Directional PDAF feature, Text Scanner, and video capture with Live HDR Video. In addition, sharing documents with OPPO Share will also be easier.

“Although it is very interesting, this beta update is primarily intended for application developers because it still contains bugs and other deficiencies. We also continue to work with Google on this.

“Therefore, we suggest that users remain patient first and wait for the official version when it becomes available later,” concluded Aryo Meidianto.
