Asus Zenfone 7 | 7 Pros, Prices & Specifications of HP Triple Rotating Cameras


#kamisukareviewASUS released Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro globally. Interestingly, they still carry a design with a rotating camera mechanism like the one on Zenfone 6. One note, now they are carrying three rear cameras, which means an upgrade from the previous version.

The main change from Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro compared to Zenfone 6 is the number of rear cameras, which are now triple cameras. Complementing the main camera and ultra wide camera, Asus is now immersing a camera with a lens equivalent to 80mm or 3x zoom compared to the main camera.

Asus Zenfone 7 Camera | Zenfone 7 Pro

The Asus Zenfone 7 series rotating camera mechanism adopts a smaller motorbike but has more torque. Then the hinge between the HP body and the camera module is strengthened, and it is claimed to be able to operate for 5 years with 100 turns per day.

More than that, the camera hinge is claimed to be able to withstand loads of 35 kg. The main camera of the Asus Zenfone 7 series uses a 64 megapixel Sony IMX686 sensor, which can record 8K 30fps video, and can record 4K 120fps slow motion video.

For features, the vendor includes a video HDR mode and a new algorithm for night mode. As for the ultra wide camera, the sensor used is the Sony IMX363, which can also record 4K video complete with HyperSteady Video mode.

The camera above doubles as a macro camera, with the closest autofocus point being 4cm. Like the previous generation, there is no front camera on the Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro, because the three rear cameras can rotate forward to become a selfie camera.

The touch screen on this smartphone has a 90Hz refresh rate and 200Hz touch sampling. Paired with Snapdragon 865+ (Zenfone 7 Pro) the performance of this cellphone is powerful and very reliable for playing games and heavy multi-tasking activities.

The LPDDR5 RAM has a capacity of 8GB for the Pro variant and 6GB for non-Pro. The storage chip is UFS 3.1, 128 GB for the Zenfone 7 and 256GB for the Pro variant, has three slots, 2 for SIM and 1 for microSD.

The Asus Zenfone 7 series battery relies on a 5000 mAh capacity and can be recharged with a 30W charger, which in 30 minutes can charge up to 60% of empty. In comparison, the Zenfone 6 only has an 18W charger, requiring 57 minutes to charge up to 60%.

Unfortunately, there is a slight minor in this smartphone. Even though it has an OLED screen, Asus doesn't use an under-display fingerprint sensor for the Zenfone 7 and 7 Pro. This sensor is embedded in the side of the cellphone.

Asus ZenFone 7 adopts an AMOLED screen measuring 6.67 inches FHD + with a resolution of 1,080 × 2,400 pixels, and an aspect ratio of 20: 9. With a brightness of up to 700 nits, the screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass 6 coating.

Asus ZenFone 7 Pro
