Telkomsel Releases The NextDev Talent Scouting

Vice President for Corporate Communications of Telkomsel Denny Abidin said, “Since it was held in 2015, The NextDev has partnered with more than 5,000 startups from all over Indonesia.

Therefore, this year we want to continue to strengthen The NextDev which has become a solid ecosystem for startups in Indonesia, especially those in its early stages.

The return of The NextDev Talent Scouting and The NextDev Academy is also part of Telkomsel's efforts as a leading digital telco company in developing an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem in Indonesia. “

The NextDev Talent Scouting is a national scale competition for early-stage social impact startups that can strengthen the digital ecosystem in Indonesia through the implementation of technology in a wider sector.

This year, The NextDev Talent Scouting is divided into four categories, namely Envirotech For Better Planet, The Borderless Digital Economy, Healthtech Innovation, and Edtech for All.

All categories have been designed based on the Sustainable Development Goals so that The NextDev Talent Scouting can form an early-stage startup that is able to provide the latest technology-based solutions to fundamental problems in society.

Meanwhile, The NextDev Academy is an event to develop social impact technology startups with a comprehensive curriculum and guidance from the best mentors in their fields.

The NextDev Academy 2020 itself will be attended by finalists from The NextDev Talent Scouting 2019. This year, the curriculum given to startups will focus on five main things, namely Finance & Investment, Marketing, People Management, Social Impact, and Deep Tech. .

The curriculum is supported by the three main pillars of implementing The NextDev, namely Technology, Team Dynamic, and Collaborative Spirit in order to create startups that are able to develop sustainably.

The presence of the two initiatives itself was announced through The NextDev Summit 2020: Wrap Up, a series of inspirational talk show sessions featuring digital ecosystem activists such as Dennis Adhiswara (Founder & CEO of Rombak Media) and Dian O. Wulandari (Social Innovation Evangelist).

This activity was also held to summarize The NextDev Summit 2020 which will be present on the peak day of the Jakarta Content Week on November 15, 2020.

Therefore, also present were the winners of The Future of Content, competitions at The NextDev Summit 2020, namely Digiflux, QATA, and Pathway, who introduced their respective ideas in creating new innovations in Indonesia.

“We hope that The NextDev Talent Scouting and The NextDev Academy this year will again receive a positive response from the participants as in previous years.

That way, The NextDev will be able to become a stronger ecosystem for early-stage startups in Indonesia to grow and produce more cutting edge technology-based innovations, “concluded Denny.
